Marina on Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island is complete with a man-made harbour and adjacent deepwater anchorage, allowing it to host vessels large and small.

Ferry services between Hamilton Island and the mainland operate throughout the day. The ferry trip from Shute Harbour on the mainland to Hamilton Island takes just 30 minutes, with more than a dozen services daily.

Tour operators offering day trips to the Great Barrier Reef, world famous Whitehaven Beach and neighbouring Whitsunday Islands also depart from the Marina.

For sailors, the 245-berth Hamilton Island Marina is between 4.5 and 5 metres deep and the largest marina berth can accommodate vessels up to 64 metres LOA. For those larger vessels, there are 10 moorings outside the harbour in Dent Passage rated up to 150 tonnes.

As a recognised 'Superport', Hamilton Island marina can assist with requirements from provisioning and catering through to engineering, refuelling, and bunkering.
